Untitled Random DialogueI looked in front of myself and I felt violated somehow, and terribly uncomfortable. I attempted to maintain a polite cover over what I felt, only partially succeeding. The man looked at the young child and then at me (AUTHOR NOTE: He was implying that he was offended by her supposed incompetence and rudeness... This wasn't in context and I haven't written much else in the story. Sorry.). "What?" He looked at me with a condescending amusement. I sank deeper, and I completely lost the purpose of my assertion.
Night AirThere's a heady feel to it as I crane my neck and lean out of my bedroom window. The cool air brushes against my bare arms, making me shiver, but I only lean further into the nothingness. I remember doing this before, at the house of some long-forgotten family friend. The night there was endless in front of the window melding with the North Sea, and only when I leaned out from the waist-up could I see the lights of a city or town south of the river.
